I guess that the missing answers have only one reason: No one can really tell you if this will work because first of all the posted specs are under those that are recommended for Cross. And additionally - this is how I think - no one will guarantee that Cross will run smoothly on your mac. So if there are any problems you will say: "Damn, Blackbrook this dumba** told me that it has to run". So I guess you have to try.

Greetings,

Steve

Hi DJ Delgado,

My girlfriend has the same spec MacBook you describe, and I have tested Cross on this, however not extensively.

It runs, under my tests perfectly, with a latency of 256 samples using the U-Mix 44 sound card. I could re-test it with the U46mk2, however I guarantee that the U46mk2 could run with an even lower latency, due to the higher quality card it is :)

The MacBook is old, did run Tiger (OS 10.4) but it has a new hard drive, and a fresh install of Snow Leopard (OSX 10.6).

I strongly recommend your MacBook, with this spec, is nice and clean, and does indeed run Snow Leopard. In this condition, Cross runs perfectly well. As Blackbrook mentions, Mixvibes cannot guarantee it will run perfectly with that spec, which might change in future versions, however you have my word it runs as you would hope it to ;)

Thx for the answers ! i will only run that program(crosspack) and nothing els, no "surfing" or DL'ing i have 2 PC's for that, so this mac is only for gigs and when i practise. I just want it to run smooth with out crashing.

If that's the case, get Snow Leopard, and keep it up to date (I'm running 10.6.2 with no problems, Cross has excellent performance), and this article has a few good hints on speeding up OSX. Just don't install lots of stuff - keep it clean :)
