Cross 1.3.2

Hi DJBC here:

I have been having nothing but trouble since I installed the Cross program in my computer. I started with disk packed in box 2 versions older than the lattest download

My computer is an ASUS G50V Intel Core 2 Duo CPU T5750 @ 2GH, 4 gigs of ram, 64 bit operating system, I am running Windows 7

Basic problem is program will not open at all! In older versions under Vista it opened once out of 20 trys now not at all.
Support has tried everything they know how. No one wants to run my computer remotly to try and correct problem.

I have determined based on my experience that Cross just does not run on a computer with 64 bit system since Cross is really a 32 bit program.

I kind of am told that I am the only one having this problem but I doubt that. SEratto, PCDJ, Dex, VJ, Red Mobile, Mixmeister all run fine, just not Cross.

Any one have any ideas. I have now abandoned the program due to its malfunctioning and unreliability

Hi DJBC,

Sorry to hear about your troubles! Maybe we can be of service here on the board. I'm not sure exactly what's causing your problem, but on both Vista and 7 64-bit versions, I (amongst other users) have had no problems with the Cross product line. The only thing I can think of off of the top of my head right now is doing a clean reinstall, including deleting the AppData.

From 1.2.5 bundled on the cd straight to 1.3.2 on the download should not be a problem.

4go are native or did you add some chips by yourself ?

We didn't see this one very often and it was mainly on Mac versions.

Support has tried everything they know how. No one wants to run my computer remotly to try and correct problem.

We even run a US version of W7-64bits to see if it wasn't related to this and out of the box it launch as it should.
Remote : with what software ? the remote tool included in Windows ?

From my little knowledge of computer, a 32bits version can run on a 64bits OS if this later offer a compatibility mode which is the case with W7-64.

I kind of am told that I am the only one having this problem but I doubt that. SEratto, PCDJ, Dex, VJ, Red Mobile, Mixmeister all run fine, just not Cross.

May be more experienced user of 64 bits versions can give you a hand on this. The only issue in general is the audio driver side and we also covered this one.

What soundcard are you using ? With what drivers ?

I am using the internal soundcard with the drivers supplied by ASUS. They work fine with the other programs mentioned so I don't think that should have an affect on the Cross program.
I have also tried with an external sound card and other driver, same problem.

I have now loded the program into a Dell Vostro 1500 Windows 7 machine.
Program opens right up and runs fine!! This is a 32 bit machine. Only problem now is I must carry a seperate computer when I want to run Cross.

go in your user section appdata/roaming/mixvibes/Cross & delete the preset file Cross.settings

Is your 64bits version a final release or a beta/RC/RTM or any special one ? Mine is a W7-64pro from MSDN.

Did you install Cross in the correct directory ?
I mean program files(x86) and not program files.

EDIT : on a side note which one of all your soundcard provided 64bits asio drivers ?
