please make sure you switch your U46 to line and not phono.

New versions (from Cross 1.3.0) prefer the line signal to avoid pre-amp modifications.

Moreover, you do not need to switch to phono even when you play real records in bypass mode. Cross now takes care of emulating the RIAA pre amplification

You don't have to switch to phono, it's all handled by the software.

I disagree. Upon testing the RIAA filter built into Cross the sound is horribly flat. I've posted about this issue here. Until then I will continue to use a phono preamp until the issue is resolved.

i have stanton str8-80 tuntables, which have a phono/line swith under the platter. now, would it be better for mixvibes Cross if i swithed my TT-s to line? how would this affect bypassing to play regular vinyl?

You shouldn't

- put the soundcard on line
- install 1.3.2
and if you need to use true vinyls just swith from 'player' to 'line_in' with the sources button of the gui.

There is nothing simplier !
