after I downloaded software to my computer I cannot get it started I just bought a discovery DJ and im running it on an imac

You don't need to download anything. The software is supplied on the CD.
Computer: 2010 MacBook Pro 13 inch - Snow Leopard (10.6)
Controller: Ion Discover DJ
Software: Mixvibes Cross LE
