turntable 1 not callibrating

i have just tried using mixvibes again after not using it for a while from previous problems, when i try to calibrate only turntable 2 does it succesfully, but usually says that it has detected left and right reverse and phase invasion but will be corrected, what does this mean?

but with the turntable 1 it wont work it says check the needles and vinyl, i have done that and nothing changes, i am using ttx's and was wondering if it could be a fault on the decks?

i have still tried to have a mix and can do it one way, but deck 1 always either does not work at all, or will work and play backwards. some advice a while ago told me to download asio4all, i have done this and configured it but have still had the same problem.

i have tryed attatching a file with the screen shot of the vinyl/cd iput are of options, but the file was too big apparantly and it wont let me paste it in, thought it might help. i am new to this and dont really know what all the options are but can anyone help. i have looked all over the forum and cant see anything like this. much appreciated.

Hi ac,

The phase inversion has to do with your needles, but it doesn't actually effect anything. It's just how the software works.

For your issue at hand, is deck 1 grounded properly? Is it possible for you to post a config report?

If it play backward it's because left/right channel are inverted.

Swap both deck to see if the problem change side too. If it does then you have a faulty deck.

there is no need for a grounf on ttx, i neever had one in the 1st place.
but i have swappede the dex round and when i did it was turntable 2 that was not working which was the same one as in the 1st place, i think it may be a faulty deck because it was always that one that i was having problems with. but then i changed the dex back round to how they used to b and i cant get either of them to calibrate now, i have played with the needles and the vinyl and nothing helps, once or twice it worked but then when i tried to re calibrate the other one it would say that both decks arent calibrated i dont get it.

if i do have a faulty deck how would i go about to fix it or to get it looked at?

Hi.
Swap everything you can to try and find a fix before you even consider sending them for repairs dude (Needles, Cables, Decks)
if have a friend that has a deck you can borrow to see if its the soundcard. ..even maybe try a normal vinyl record aswell to see if the basic functions are working.
TRY EVERYTHING YOU CAN...Dont give up mate ;) .
Strange that its not working AT ALL now  ??? Seems there is something weird going on if it worked b4- keep trying ;)

As for getting them looked at, contact the manufacturer.

Pins connectors near the head-shield often give headaches.

Very true! jiggle around your needle/stylus heads to make sure they have proper contact also!
Cheers

i have been playing around with everything that i can think off for now and nothing seems to be working. i am going to take my laptop to a mates and see if it works on his decks, if it does then it should be mine with the problem right? if not then back to square one. i think it must be the decks but only when i use mixvibes becuase when i use my vinyl evrything works how it should. right from the start when i got mixvibes a year ago i had the same problem with the one deck. will post when i have tried on other turntables.

Sometimes on true vinyls you won't notice that there is a phase inversion, or that the sound is in double mono or that left/right are inverted.
But with a DVS you immediately know.
