Postby Vasilis_1975 on 17 Nov 2009, 20:14

Hello guys!!I have a problem with the instalation of update of MixVibes DVS 7!I bought new laptop(HP,Intel(R)Core(TM) 2 Duo @ 2.1 Ghz,Ram 3 GB,O.S. Vista 32 bit). When i install DVS 7 from my cd i have no problems with the program..But when i install the update 7.218(Downloaded from here) sometimes @ my sets the program stops playing..I cannot show to you how my program scream!! when it stops playing!i use an external disc 1T and i thought that was the problem cause its too big..But when i was looking @ task manager of my laptop i saw that VasilisGiotis.Vib(That is my name, and i give this name to the file of mixvibes when i was saving it)..so..i see that it was like this: ''Vasil~1.exe''..This means that the program doesn't run good! When i play the program without update @ task manager its VasilisGiotis.exe(something like that, but without this: ~1..)It has the right name of the program! It means that the program runs well!!And i know that because i have no problems!!I play for many hours!!So i ask:Anybody knows what's going on??I give my laptop data for help..Here it is again:(HP,Intel(R)Core(TM) 2 Duo @ 2.1 Ghz,Ram 3 GB,O.S. Vista 32 bit)..
Thanks 4 your time guys!!

Hi Vasilis,

That's a very strange problem you're having... Is it possible for you to generate a configuration report before it crashes? My other advice would be to do a clean install. Uninstall, delete MV folder from AppData -> Roaming in your documents (you may have to unhide all files in your Windows preferences), then reinstall. Other users have had success working with external HDs + MV, so I don't see your drive as being the problem. Your system is definitely capable of handling MV, so that's not an issue either.

Let me know if you still encounter this problem afterward.

Here's how you can generate a configuration report: http://mixvibes.com/support/?p=51&lang=en

Updating to the newest version will most likely solve that problem :)
