Cross DJ audio setup problems

Hi. I have a PC with a Realktek audio soundcard, running Windows 7. On the back of my computer, I have an audio jack for up to a 7.1 surround sound: front speaker jack, side speaker jack, subwoofer jack, rear speaker jack.

For the Cross DJ application, I was thinking I could use the Dual Stereo routing option so that I can designate my front speakers for live music and the rear speakers for the cue. But for some reason, I can't select 'LEFT/RIGHT' for both output 1 and output 2. When I set that to one output then try to set that on the other output, the other selection goes away and gets set back to 'NONE'.

Do I need another soundcard or should I just go with a split mono routing option. If I do the split mono routing option, I'm wondering if there are speakers that have independent controls.

Any suggestions or tips will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I assume the serial # is the product key? The one I used to activate the software? If so, it doesn't seem to be valid when I enter it into my profile. My product key has more letters/numbers than is allowed when I try to enter it into my profile. I tried looking at my Discover DJ box and it isn't anywhere to be found.

Any suggestions?

Cross DJ serial aren't recognize yet on the user forum profile. Soon this problem will be fixed.

I recommend you to use Asio4all. Download it then choose Asio4all in Cross DJ preference.

Thanks for the info. That driver helped solve my problem....So if I can't enter my serial number yet, does that mean I can't download the latest update to Cross DJ? The release candidate 1.3.0?

You are using "Cross DJ". The 1.3.0 RC update is for "Cross".
They are different programs, with similar names.
cheers

I'm on a Mac with a Ion Discover DJ and Cross LE, and I had the same problem. I looked up for days and found this website: http://www.Apple.com/pro/techniques/aggregateaudio/
It's a little different in Snow Leopard since when you open the audio interface manager all you have to do is click + and then select the interfaces you want to use.
Since then everything works flawlessly, still I'm a little disappointed that my deck doesn't include a plug for cue audio, which cost 25€, but hey, it's a 99€ deck, perfect for beginners except the audio configuration part that really pissed me off. There should be a page on the mixvibes website explaining this, not everybody is a sound engineer (and you definitely are not one when you buy a 99€ set...).
Now everything works fine though, and I am delighted with my DJ set.
Hope this helps, enjoy!!
