Hi everybody,
does anybody know what aspects i have to respect if i want to publish a mixtape on my homepage?
Because 90% of every song is beeing played in the mix before i switch to another...I dont want to get sued...
I know that i have to mark it with "promo only"...But is this enough?
Any experiences?
regards

Look mam.. in my country this is how it's works... if u have a song, then you can publish the 75% fo that song literaly and the other 25% shoulds be your ouwn creation... o the other way if you remix songs... at the moment you remix it, then it turns to your own song and then there it's not problem to publish, Also if the songs are not patented in your coutry, then you can publish an entire song with not problems

What I have heard last about it is the fact that it is forbidden to publish tracks from different artists without asking for permission. In fact there are a lot of DJs out there publishing their sets and mixes trough podcast or downloads on their homepage this seems to be a grey zone: not totally illegal but not totally legal. A lot of artists do not care about their tracks in different mixes and mark it as a kind of promo, but I think that there are of course some that are pi**** off if they see their tracks elsewhere instead of their own sets. I have not heard till now that someone got caught for publishing his mix but I have little concerns when I post my mixes. Attention seems to be appropriate.

Good warning for all!
