Hi
I've got a question about Cross.
My PC Specs:
System:
Microsoft Windows XP Professional
Vers. 2002
Service Pack 3
Computer
AMD Turion 64X2 Mobile
Technology TL 50
1,61 GHZ , 1,87 GB Ram
I'm not sure if Cross will work on my PC without problems. Otherwise I've got an EEEPC 1000H.
Can anybody tell me if my system is fast enough to handle Cross or has experiences with Cross on EEEPC.
Thanks for your help:-)
Tim

I tested the demo
It works... But the critical Moments is the one you move booth Decks, I think.
Do you think it will work ?

Hi Tim,
You are definitly fine with your PC mate !
I would recommend a 124 samplerate to make sure you you operate smoothly.
Have fun with your Cross !

when i go down with the samplerate there are breaks comming up by playing a track. maybe i should choose a higher samplerate about 288 or 300. what do you think ?

I am quoting your post because I think, that setting down the latency is the only way for me to get Cross running brilliant. I have installed the demo for some weeks now and played around a bit with Cross because I thought, that it someday may become my friend

Till now it does not because it does not run brilliant. There is a very little sound every thirty seconds. Something like a beep, very silent but hearable. I had this problem first with DVS, too. But after I optimized my laptop for audio programmes it worked fine. Cross needs a bit more power and so I guess, that mixing with 65 samples at a latency of 1.5ms is not possible with my specs (Intel Core Duo 2 x 2GHz, 2GB RAM, XP SP3). To mix without trouble I can try to set the latency higher. I am afraid that the software will not act immidiately when I spin the record. Even if it will I am not sure what kind of advantages Cross has instead of DVS. Of course I read all the comparisons on the page but I am not shure. Any recommodations or experiences of switchers (DVS to Cross)?
Greetings,
Steve
