Beat Sync'd VSTs in Mixvibes

Postby Patch on 21 Aug 2009, 14:57

How do beat sync'd vsts work in mixvibes? I use a lot of these in Ableton Live, and understand that the VST gets synchronised with the host BPM. How will these VSTs work in Mixvibes, where the BPM is determined by the pitch of the spinning vinyl?

Hi Patch,

I don't think MixVibes can do it.

Damn - is there a tap tempo in 'vibes so that you can sync the VSTs to the vinyl that is playing?

I am not sure if there is this tap button you request. But I have another recommendation:

If you scan the used tracks with the BPM/Gain analysator in Vibes the exact (more or less) track bpm is shown, so you can try to set this bpm to your Vst. Otherwise you could read it from your mixer, but I saw, that you are using a Vestax without BPM counter. I know, that this is not what you are looking for, but it is a trick to get where you want to.

Steve

We'd need MIDI out like Traktor or Torq. I mentioned something similar a while back concerning the Glitch VST.

I can't wait 'til we get it :)

dBlue Glitch is the HOTTEST VST ever - and it's free...

I love it. It's one of the few VSTs that I'd like to use in Mixvibes...

Wow mates, never heard of this before but after I watched the video I downloaded it. Searching the forums now how to implement it into MV. Thanks a lot for this recommendation!
