Hello, i seem to have a rather strange problem,
everytime when i press one of the arrowkeys, the Enter key or click with my mouse in the mediabase or playlist, i get a sound out of my laptopspeakers (even when the sound is muted) i already muted all windows-sounds, but that didn't help either..
i'm using vista 32bit home premium (legal version)

the problem popped up without any specific changes..
i've tried updating stuff, but nothing helped so far..
solutions are more than welcome.

Hi Tribble,

Seems that you are getting some kind of electrical parasites. Have you tried using a groundless adaptor like this one there. This occurs quite a lot with labtops

I don't think it's the answer.
It is related to Vista.
Reinstall Mixvibes, you did some change to Vista as an update. A new install bypass this Vista bug.

Hey Man
I had a similar issue, although i had disabled windows sounds somehow i was still getting clicks when navigating folders, it appears that the setting rolled back somehow.

To correct the problem.
open audio preferences and make sure your sound scheme is set to no sounds hit apply and hopefully problem solved

if you are still having issues
(do this only if confident as incorrect registry changes can cause unknown issues.)
1. Click Start then Run
2. Type Regedit press enter
3. Exapnd HKEY_Users
4. Expand .DEFAULT
5. Expand AppEvents
6. Click On Schemes

On the right hand pane you may or may not have 1 key listed
name Type Data
Default REG_SZ .Default

If you have the above key you will need to right click the key and select Modify and change to .None
(Yes, you need the leading dot :D

1. If you have no key listed
2. right click on right hand pane
3. select new
4. select String Value
5. Call it (Default)
6. data .None
(Yes, you need the leading dot :D

reg.JPG

registry Image taken from work PC so .Default is listed

Hope that helps
