U46 MK II - Latency Setting Problem

Hey,
i just tried setting the latency from 256 down to 64 in the panel board but once i start mixvibes it sets it back to 256. Same when i try to set it to 128 or any other setting below 256 or above 256.
Is this setting somehow set in mixvibes itself? If so - where?
thx in advance,
kapo

ok nevermind - i unticked "save u46kmII settings" and then it worked.
but i can't even turn the sample rate down to 128 cause then the sound is just crap. is that normal?
is there any way i can turn down the sample rate and still have a good sound?
the thing is that i have problems with the vinyl control - let's say i want to scratch on a snare drum and i go back and forth, back and forth etc - then i always have to move the vinyl a bit more forward cuz the actual snare hit doesn't stay on the same position wich pretty much sucks cuz i'm not able to scratch with that kind of delay in the system. so i'm guessing it has to do with the latency wich should get lower when i turn down the sample rate..
and i don't think my PC is not good enough to run higher settings. i have an amd athlon 64 dual core processor with 2,98 ghz and 2gb ram. so that should be alright. i'm running vista.
i have mixvibes for a long time now and i never really got it working correctly wich pretty much frustrates me...
maybe somebody can help me so i can really set this up so it works perfect.
thx in advance people
greets,
kapo

Have you made sure that your wireless internet is off and no anti-virus program is running in the background? Also have you followed the optimization guide that is on the website?

i don't have wifi - i've got an ethernet connection. I've pretty much optimized my system since i professionaly make music on my PC so i'm guessing this isn't the problem but i'll search up the topic about optimizing windows and see if i can maybe get something optimized...
thx though,
