mixbvibes goes crazy on my HP dx6100

Hi,

I have a HP dx6100 PIV 3GHz, 2GB RAM, 80GB HDD, everytime I start Mixvibes it goes crazy. It plays the records backwards, it's almost impossible to do a thing in the soft.

The only thing that help is running the setup wizard again, then it works. But next time I start it, it's the same misery :-(

Is there a conflict between the onboard soundcard and the U46MKII? What could be the reason.

Plz soms help would be nice!

Brecht

I have opened another thread of this type of problem in the german subforum because i have to start the installation wizard after every restart of mixvibes too. There they gave a lot of advises:

- first of all you should look into all the configurations of your firewall, anti virus guard or in the client control of your computer if there are any restrictions

- is the mixvibes folder write-protected? If so unable it so that the configuration wizard can write to it

- are TPM (Trustet Platform Module) installed in your computer? This is a peace of hardware that protects some parts of the system to be overwritten. They say that you can disable these modules in BIOS but not in mine, maybe your BIOS

I hope i could help a bit. To be honest: everytime i start Mixvibes i have to run the wizard, i found no solution.

Greetings,

Steve

Hi guys,

The solution may be the following: check the keep U46 setting in the MixVibes audio menu [Preferences > Options > Soundcard]:
