I saw a screenshot on how to do this but how can this be done? I am running vista and for some reason the "moveable windows" mode wont work, can somebody help me on which skins I can use to do this and how to move the windows to the right spots?

Hello,

Did you activate the movable window option into the view menu?

I don't know what you mean by .....to look like S.s.l

on the mixvibes toolbar [up the top ]....go view / tick moveable windows/

now move the window you would like to move to where you like it
...move the window slowly untill it give's you a blue high-light box
[ top or bottom or left or right ]

if you would like to run mixvibes on two screen [ laptop screen & a LCD screen ] ...so you can have mixvibes decks & mix window + other racks like effect rack or gain rack or crossfader rack

& then have your explorer , mediabase & playlist on the other screen

To do this....
plug the LCD screen to your laptop with a VGA cable
now double right click on open space on your windows desktop
....click properties [ a display properties window will open up ]....
....click setting....select & click display ( multiple monitors on ATI x 1400..thats my video card )...
....tick.... extend my windows desktop onto this monitor.
( this is the same video card set-up for video mixing with mixvibes )

click OK...& your good to go with two screens

When I would click on the movable window option it would not work. Could this be because I am running vista?

Not sure about that... Did you remove the VISTA security in the User Account Panel?

can someone tell me which skin layout would be best to move stuff around similar to the SSL layout and a tutorial on how to do it? I am starting to grow very frustrated with this product for it has never really worked correctly since I bought it.

This product isn't made to be a clone of ssl. What you want -moving the windows- work on any circumstances.
If I can help you to be less frustrated explain first what's wrong in your setup in the main functions.

I never said I wanted a clone of SSL I just said that Ive grown frustrated with this product that never functioned right for me.

What I did want was to move around my MV layout to LOOK LIKE SSL because I liked how SSL is efficiently laid out.

I found a part of the problem. I have 2 laptops that run MV that are both vista, one 32 another 64, the 32 works perfectly while the 64 I am unable to activate the Moveable windows function.
