DVS 7 has nice toys within like wide support for MIDI, sampler, effects and support for VST Effects... Etc.
Cross is still in the making, while it is nice software, for now it lacks the creative ability of other Mixvibes products. Cross will develop in the same way, however... this takes time, so if you want to start getting jiggy straight away then maybe DVS 7 is the best option for you.
