Do you use MIDI control with Mixvibes?

If so, what kind of control would that be?
For example. A DJ MIDI controller, sampler, MIDI keyboard or any other MIDI controller.

How do you use your controller?

For example. Do you use it as it was intended? Does your MIDI hardware already have a MIDI control map in the MIDI settings of Mixvibes? Have you created your own MIDI map to customise how your controller works with Mixvibes? Etc.

How easy did you find it to map your MIDI hardware to use with Mixvibes?

For example. Did you use the MIDI editor? Did you use the MIDI learn feature of Mixvibes? Maybe both? Did you manage to map all the functions you wanted? Etc.

What features do you personally find most important with your MIDI hardware and Mixvibes?

For example. Do you mainly use the sampler feature with MIDI? MIDI control of effects and VST? MIDI control of the players, loops and cue points? MIDI control of the media base? Etc.

Thank you in advance for your answers.

Regards,
Bryan

No, this is a programmable controller, with preset for instrument not for mixvibes, so i programm it for my needs.

Yes

If so, what kind of control would that be?

Stanton SCS.3d, Akai MPD24, M-Audio KeyRig 49

How do you use your controller?

Controllerism, live production/remixing

How easy did you find it to map your MIDI hardware to use with Mixvibes?

Fairly easy, just took a little time to figure out which flags do what. I use a combo of MIDI learn + MIDI editor

What features do you personally find most important with your MIDI hardware and Mixvibes?

Mediabase control, cue points, VST effects (although there are some that I'd like to see implemented a little better, such as Reaktor)[/quote]

Do you use MIDI control with Mixvibes?
yes, a Korg Nanopad
How do you use your controller?
I use it to trigger samples and loops during shows.
and when i'm not running mixvibes, i use it to make beats or
play synths in programs.

How easy did you find it to map your MIDI hardware to use with Mixvibes?
SUUUPPAAA-EASY! didn't really have to map anything, downloaded
the needed stuff from the downloadsection and used it right away.
I have looked at how you can map it out yourself, no difficulties there..

What features do you personally find most important with your MIDI hardware and Mixvibes?

triggering samples, during live shows it's a great way to hype the crowd... also putting in a short piece of music comes in handy to play during the performing of two songs...

What features do you personally find most important with your MIDI hardware and Mixvibes?

Yes !

If so, what kind of control would that be?
For example. A DJ MIDI controller, sampler, MIDI keyboard or any other MIDI controller.

VCI 100 and CDJ 400 in a near future...

How do you use your controller?

Like everybody : with my feet ;)

I use my VCI in combination with an external mixer. All controls are remapped to fit my use.

How easy did you find it to map your MIDI hardware to use with Mixvibes?

Easy with the MIDI learn function. But also by hand to have a more precise tune.

What features do you personally find most important with your MIDI hardware and Mixvibes?

Fine tuning of all parameters (pitch, faders and soane).
Also to put a f* filter that cost too many bucks for me ;)
I'm not using the sampler. Too hard to understand how it works and I really don't need it.
I am playing a little bit with cue and loops. But in a live way. I'm not preparing this at home. I have lot of other things to do lol !
I am not a mediabase user of MV7 replacing it with an external program. I am using those into Cross.

Thank you in advance for your answers.

Where must I send you the bill ? ;)

HI gakto2009

Do you use MIDI control with Mixvibes?

Yes mainly using the touchpad and encoders from my Korg Zero8.
EDIT: a MIDI keyboard

How do you use your controller?

I made my own MIDI control map viewtopic.php?f=207&t=15046
and use it to:
-save and jump to loops and cues
-moving and resizing loops
-mediaselection and track loading
-Key changing
-player selecting
-sometimes mouse movement
-but i do all sound related things (eq, effects) with my mixer
-wouldt it use for sampler commands too but to many controllers are needed :right: -i need this function:
viewtopic.php?f=279&t=15289

EDIT:
- sampler controlling
- key change of tracks and samples via MIDI keyboard

How easy did you find it to map your MIDI hardware to use with Mixvibes?

-i made all my mapping with the editor
becasuse learning mode doesnt really work for encoders and there is no "turn speed" detection

EDIT:
-specially the new features (commands) are not well documented
- updates sometimes make some of the existing mapping useless. thats not good

What features do you personally find most important with your MIDI hardware and Mixvibes?

-they are all important because i dont want to touch my mouse while mixing :D

EDIT:

-some kind of "touchpad detection" woludt be great:
for example to split the two axis controler into a 16x16 button matrix
-MIDI to the people!:
the more commands the better

Because times have changed i edited my post!
