PROBLEM WITH MY IMIX AND MIX VIBES 3DEX LE

Postby tantaclan on 18 Mar 2009, 19:27

Hi, I have a problem with an iMix and the software Mix Vibes 3DEX LE.
I've installed the software correctly in my PC with Windows XP (it doesn't appears any error message) during instalation process. Also, the power led of my iMix is light green, it's like iMix it's been powered by the USB so I thought all was ok.
But, when I open the program it doesn't open and it appears the message (more or less, not exactly the same) " Imix not found, please connect your imix to open Mix Vibes". So I can't be able to enjoy with my iMix in my PC!
Then I tried to install it on another PC (not mine) with Windows Vista and it worked fine. :(
So, I checked in my XP PC, Control Panel, Device Administrator and iMix doesn't appears. I don't understand anything, can someone help me please?? :?: :?:

can you give us more details of your XP install, ie. sevice pack, and have you installed the drivers for the imix without any problems?

regards,
Bryan

Hi,

The same problem is happening to me...

What drivers should be installed on my PC and how could I check it out.

Is there any alternative drivers etc. which has to be installed apart from the content of the cd included in the pack?

I´m a little desperate. It seem there isn´t any problem, because my windows xp has servicepack 3 and enough memory.

Thank you.

Windows XP Sp3 doesnt like the IMIX controller, it has caused lots of problems for users, and for many other users relying on usb hardware...

the IMIX seems to work fine with Vista and XP Sp2, so far i havent been able to find the direct cause of the problem or a way to get round it as i dont own an IMIX controller, however rolling back to XP Sp2 seems to do the trick.

Microsoft have published an uninstaller for Sp3 because its turned out to be so bad, you can find it on the Microsoft website via a search in google for Sp3 Uninstaller (only if Sp3 was installed by Windows Update).

Bryan

Thank you very much.

I still have this problem.

I´ve tried to use i-mix with servicepack 2 with Windows XP and it worked, but it was in another PC. They told me it could be a problem with the energy but I used an adaptor and still the program didn´t recognize the i-mix.

Please, I need help. It´s been two months and still I can´t use my i-mix.

Thank you.

ok, so this is going to sound a little crazy...

using service pack 3 with some usb devices can cause trouble (as many people have found out the hard way). one of the symptoms is that of the usb device not connecting after the problem starts.

it has been reported by people that the only way to correct this is to connect the usb device to the computer with everything powered on, then pull the power cable out the compter, then boot as normal.

sounds very strange but heay... its worth a bash.

i dont believe its been tested with the i-mix.

regards,
Bryan

I have the same problem,

Computer doesn't recognize the I-Mix. Sometimes it works but that's not good enough as I had trouble getting it to work at a party.

I'm using it on Vista Sp2
