Hi,

I would like to know if it is possible to use one CC for several mixvibes control.
EX:
I would like to assign one knob for effectvol, but i would like that when the knob value is <0, the Effect is turned on and selected.

I tried:
B0 55 / effectvol ........ this works
Then I tried: (What i would like to have)
B0 55 / effectvol ........ this works
B0 55 1 / effect / 1 / 0 ........ this don t works
Then i tried:
B0 55 / effectvol ........ this works
B0 56 / effect / ........ this works

Can help ?

Other question: as my controller in not new, some control are sent automaticaly, is there a way to block the control in the MIDI edit panel, after it is set ?

Other question: i readed the MIDI tuto, and it says that when permanent + learning are turned on, when you click a knob on mixvibes for several seconds, the knob become gray and when turning a real knob it is automaticaly assigned.

The problem is that when i click on a knob for several seconds, he don t became gray , doing option, or activating desactivating the learning does the things works, but for a while ?

Assigning multiple actions to MIDI control a believe is not as yet possible but it is a good idea.

i am not sure i understand what you mean by this, any command sent by your MIDI controller will not effect mixvibes unless it is mapped to a function.

The MIDI learn feature is simple,

Permanent: with this enabled the configuration is written to your config file and stored for further sessions and editing.

If permanent mode is no active the mapping will only be active for the current session.

When learning actions, select Learning mode... then hover your mouse pointer over the feature you wish to learn, after the feature is highlighted silver use control feature of your MIDI controller to learn the MIDI code.

Yes , i think so.
When you assign a volume effect, the must is to turn it on when the volume effect is greater than 0. also if you use it , it usefull to display it.
so would be great to have the possibility to assign these three CC to one CC.
Perhaps will it be implemented in a new version.
I thought to a workaround, if anyone is interesting in doing this:
Assign a knob to the effect volume.
Assign a button to the display.
Turn all effect on.
You a have just to push the button to see the effect settings, and increasing the effect volume make it.
NB: Not verified but it should work.

Trying to be more clear:
In the MIDI edit window:
When you add a line, to assign the controll, you have just to turn the knob.
The issue is that until you go to another line , if you turn another knob on the same line, the new knob is captured.
Would be great to have a check box near the CC infos, so that when you set the knob , you check the box, and any other MIDI message received for this line will no be taked into account. Box checked send and receive only the CC which was assign before the box was checked.
My issue is that one of my controller is sending a cc like B7 55.
So if i set the line to b0 55, i must be quick to set the other things because, the other controller send B7 55 and overwrite B0 55, so i have to modify it again to have B0 55 and switch to another line to avoid the reset of the CC part.

NB: after testing would be greater to lock all the line, because seen that sometimes, the lines are modified without need.

we had the possibility in pro6 to use scripts. A script is exactly what you want. I don't know if the feature is still there but not in the skin or if the feature is gone for ever. It was a professional feature & mixvibes had very few returns of use by the DJ's. That's why it's gone. I may be wrong but it shouldn't be impossible to get it back quickly if needed.
