Level down on u 46

Hello

I'm a new u 46 user
I use with ableton using asio4all (last version)
After installing the lastest drivers (that i've found on the site thanks a lot for that) i worked pretty well.
But when i shut down my mic (sm 58) i turn it back on and the sound volume was incredibly low .
I cannot now have a normal sound volume unless i turn the gain and the main volume to the max and still the sound isn't really loud (and the quality is really bad) .
It really gets me mad cause at first everything was great ( soudn and latency) but now the sound is really awfull.
Does anyone had the same problem ?
Any idea would be really appreciated

As the SM58 does not have an on and off switch, by what method are you using to cut the mic?
