home 7 Monitor Problem

From vinyl and external mixer i´m used to be able to use the crossfader for the outgoing signal and the monitor for ...monitoring.
Doing so in mixvibes, the crossfader cuts the monitor signal of the right player when moved all the way left. The same thing happens opposite direction too. (I forgot to mention: Yes, I do use two soundcards, one for the outgoing signal, one for the monitor)

Further more there is no display 1/2 under the monitor button as in the demonstration video.
Is there a failure or a hidden secret?
Would anybody be so kind and help?

for monitoring, you have to click on the headphone button of your player.

Can anyone tell me if the trial version of mixvibes 7 doesnt allow monitoring? I am using my internal sound card and a usb sound card. I am using the usb sound card to play the track I want to hear but it wont let me go into the program to set up the monitoring to add my internal sound card. Please HELP!!!!!!!
