I have seen somewhere that the VCI 300 has its proper MIDI kind of code. It isn't possible to use it on other software than Ich because of the will of Serato.

But you can use a MIDI converter (I don't know wich) to correct this idiot limitation.

Try Bome's MIDI Translator, this might help you out a little.

Hi !

We unfortunately haven't got any VCI-300 at MixVibes yet.

So we, for the moment, can't tell you how to make it work with MV !

By the way, you can try this utility (MidiOx : http://www.midiox.com/) to monitor the MIDI messages sent by the VCI-300.

Let us know what MIDI messages are sent (if they are), by copy-pasting from MidiOx interface or making some screenshots, and many people here will be able to tell if these messages can be easily understood by MV or not !

VCI 300 is a f* copyrighted material only working with a f* software...

So, if they don't want to be compatible with the world, let them stay in their f* sh* and don't buy this hardware ! (VCI-100 is far better)...

Yes the VCI 100 is much more interesting. The sound card inside VCI 300 is using ESI components & usb1.1 as we do since years.
For mixvibes users with a U46MK2 pack or with a better sound card nothing is useful for this price.
Sorry...
But there is a way to make it works with Mixvibes.
VCI300 use a new protocol & it's possible to download a translator MIDI to this protocol.
Doesn't sound easy, find the page with all details at http://www.djtechtools.com/2008/09/08/vci-300-reviewed/
