Changing delay values isn't smooth

So i mapped 4 knobs (mpd24) to control my player1 effects:

#1 knob: Effect volume
#2 knob: Effect value 1
#3 knob: Effect value 2
#4 knob: Effect value 3

The problem is:
I switch on some effect on player1
Effect volume to max - ok.
and when changing effect values (with effect on), some of them aren't changing smooth. It means that sound is cut every time i change the position of my effect value knob.

Edit:
The issue is only when changing delay value in any effect.
+
Reverb needs a little time to be switched on after pressing effect on.

It doesn't depend on controlling it by MIDI, using mouse is the same.

Hi sebastion,
What specification is you laptop?
Do you use timecode to control?

I found on testing mixvibes with effects that some lower spec cpu and ram speeds could not cope with processing the timecode and audio efficiently at lower latencies with effects running, depending on the effect and its type sometimes it took more time to initialise the effect and altering its variables sometimes interrupted audio...

Bearing in mind that allot of internal devices in laptops are also supported/processed by the systems cpu, firewire (ieee 1394) devices especially put alot of strain on the cpu when running in a low buffer state.

Try expanding your latency and see if this help’s and let us know how you get on..

Regards
Bryan.

I'm running:
MV 7.1
Msi Wind with optimized WIN XP
U46MKII
Vinyl timecodes

Thanks for your help, I'll try to increase latency today evening and I'll let you know :)

Cheers

EDIT:

I tested 256 samples (MV 7.2) - not ok
Unfortunately didn't have time to test 512, maybe today.

Great, because playing with 512 wasn't good :/

Next update = 7.2 patch?

no that would be 7.3

7.2 is mostly master tempo and key mode

Ok thanks for info. Working master tempo is more important for me :)
