DVS pack MK2 installation

Hello..

I bought this package couple of months ago, now having finally reunited with my turnies, I´m having problems with installing DVS.

Now, the obvious solution is to get a new CD-drive on my computer(since it won´t read the CD or other CD´s). Being a poor student from the ever poor country of iceland, I´ve been hoping I could avoid that by downloading the update file.

Everything was going smooth and I started itching in all 21 fingers. When the installation was finished and I tried launching the program, I got this terrible message onto my screen..
"Bad Installation"

If you guys have any idea what this might be or if you have a solution to my troubled ways(other than getting a new CD-drive) please share your thoughts and don´t hold back.

Best regards,
Bjarki

do you have your serial number?

i think the mods can give you a download version of the software and you just need to put in your serial number. and i see that you already put your serial into the forums, so you can just download the latest update.

Hello,

you have to install your CD version of DVS before intalling the upgrade.
If you do not have a CD reader, I advice you to buy one (20€ a sony DVD reader on internet)

You will need it, not only for MixVibes but for everythings.

Thank you guys..

The thing is I never managed to install from the CD. I just tried installing the latest update(yesterday) for luck but it didn´t work.

So, I guess I have to get a new CD-reader(what the hell.. I´m going to need that for lots of things in the future anyway).

Thanks and best regards,
Bjarki

Indeed you have to install the software from the CD. Then install the update.

do you have a laptop or a desktop computer ?

internal DVD readers are very cheap for desktop computers, if you have a laptop, external dvd reader are a little more expensive, but you will need it anyway

hi Bjarki, sorry to hear about your issues, there's not much we can do in your case... maybe you can go to a arcade/network gaming place and borrow an external CD player just to install MV. Good luck
