[SOLVED] VCI 100/soundcards/headphones and RCA

Postby ashweee on 02 Nov 2008, 20:48

I cannot configure the mixvibes 3DEX software for the VCI 100 to play one deck via my external soundcard so that sound is produced through the RCA output and so that the other deck plays through the internal soundcard, producing sound through headphones, at the same time.

I am using Vista. Is there anyone who can talk me through how to set the software/soundcards up so that I can play one track out my RCA/Stereo and another in my headphones please?

Thanks

Hello,

Look for the numbers on each decks. One must have one and the other number two.

If it is not the case, simply click on the second deck to change the number.

Cheers

Just to check you have configured your sound outputs to multi-audio right ?

Also, which version of the software are you using ? didi you check that you are up to date ?

- Register your software (User Control Pannel > Profile > Serial Number)
- Go to the download center and install the latest versions of software and drivers

I am using Mixvibes 3DEX version, its not the latest one no, but when I try registering the serial number on here it comes up saying it has already been used, but Ive bought it brand new with the VCI 100?

I go into sound options and when I try clicking multi audio it has 4 sections and on each section it asks for device and something else...I think monitor. When I click the drop down bar in device the only option is a bunch of numbers (which I guess relates to the VCI 100) and then I select the soundcard with the other. Then on the second I select the VCI again and the other soundcard, hoping that it will distribute sound between the RCA and headphones seperatly. But I get an error saying not enough memory once I have saved these settings and try to add a track to the deck.

I am completely new to all this and really confused about how to set it up correctly, thanks for your support guys.

Can you please send by pm your serial number? I'll check the registration issue.

What is your soundcard(s)?

I will PM the serial number when I get home, at work at the moment.

I have the internal one. Plus the mixvibes usb audio, with headphone output. But the one I want to set up is the Behringer usb 202 I think its called (will check & confirm later) it has RCA inputs and outputs and output for headphones

I want the sound to go through that one into the stereo and the sound via the internal or other usb soundcard to my headphones if possible? Or just some way that I can set these functions up so I can hear the next track Im mixing in, but audience cannot.

Thanks

Set MixVibes in Multi audio mode. Then send each track through outputs by clicking on each channel output number.
