CD mixing using MV (how to cue up the song)

I had no way to revert back to the beginning of the song using my old rusty TASCAM CD-302 CD player. Can someone enlighten me on this method. Unless I use the keyboard I didn't find a way to emulate what I do on a turntable, i.e. pick up the needle and cue it to the beginning. I was curious to find out what it feels like to use a CD player with MV. MV timecode CD had 3 tracks on it, I hit the back button on my CD-302 and the song keeps playing at it old position!

A side track, (I know the TASCAM sucks for any serious mixing, its no longer on the market. But with new lasers heads the only good thing is that it tracks just about any scratched CD or faulty burnt CD I can find). All heavily used CD player laser wind up burning out anyhow like a light bulb.

I guess this is the old control CD...I'm sure it will work better with the new HD control CD. Do you have a chance to borrow one?

I'm working in relative mode.

Oh, its an old CD. I don't have any to borrow. The CD is labeled "MixVibes DVS 2005". I need new vinyl so I'll throw in the CD whenever I get around to new vinyl.

Are you saying I won't have this problem with the new CD? How can I confirm if I'm using the old CD, does the new one not have 3 tracks?

can someone tell me what is the exact difference between the old timecode cd and the new HD time code cd? I can't find an improvement list anywhere?

basically the timecode is analyzed 6 times faster and gives richer information. better for ultra precise cueing, very short looping and more. Sorry i don't have an improvement list on a sunday night, but let me know if you want me to dig it out for you this week  (big day tomorrow with the public presentation of VFX2, video mixing technology)
