Ok so yesterday I download the trial version of pro. Install and open. it closes like five times saying no MIDI driver found. I unplug re-plug and stuff. No luck. Well, i go to try again and looking trough browser and see AUDIO INPUT. I go down to Hercules, click and under comes up default. I click on default and hear sound through speakers then. I then click on vinyl and voila, Hercules is running MV. Today I start computer and no work. Says 2-Hercules no MIDI driver found error.
Anybody know whats going on??

- Are you sure that you plugged the hercules rmx into the same USB port?
- Did you go to [Preferences > Options > MIDI], check 'activate', choose for device and MIDI File 'Hercules DJ Console rmx' then click on OK?

- If you plugged the Hercules in the wrong USB port, you should see a Cross on the hercules icon (see picture below).
- Do you have 'Hercules DJ Console RMX MIDI' ?

ok so I reformat whole disk all new(For another reason, anyways) With fresh OS install, I install VDJ5 (came with it) and it works. I then install Mixvibes demo.
So..before initial running of mixvibes I shut down VDJ(exit icon in tool tray). I run MV and it starts just fine. I go to the MIDI tab in preferences and as soon as I check the Activate boxw, a dialogue box pops up "MIDI driver not found"
I close MV & open VDJ again; then close it, leaving
it open in tooltray. I then run MV again. This time the "MIDI driver not found" pops up as soon as I run MV.
This is the same thing it did the other night when I first ran it but somehow eventually started working. Very confusing.
I looked for the MIDI driver on the site but it says you need a serial # to access downloads. ??????

Prior to getting your last post I was trying to use the MIDI learn and had the rmx controlling the crossfader in MV. The jog wheel, the crossfader, and buttons 1 and 2 were all running the crossfader in MV. So I know that it will work if get learn correct.
I went to the site and downloaded the driver package, ran it, and the firmware update. After which the RMX would operate no controls in VDJ5 or MV7.
Reinstalled the cd that came with rmx and VDJ is back up and running.
If I could just figure out how to use learn I may be able to work MV, but I don't understand the Learn thing yet.
Thanks for helping a MIDI dummy like me. This my first MIDI controller.

Do you have any MIDI message in the info bar [View > Info] if you push a VCI-100 button?
