Hi guys

The new master tempo & key improvements sound amazing, but in order to use them with vinyl control I have to change to relative mode. Once I get into relative mode the pitch fluctuates constantly by 0.2% in each direction, making mixing much more difficult than it should be. This fluctuation also causes artifacts with master tempo. If you turn off vinyl control, these fluctuations go away and it sounds perfect.

In absolute mode, everything feels just fine, but of course no MT/Key. I get great ASIO latency in Absolute mode, 48 samples / 1.0ms. In Relative mode when I turn on MT, I have to go to 96 samples, which is still really great, but the pitch is all over the place. If I go up to 128 or 256 it doesn't help. Through all of this I am getting 100% timecode detected.

Thank you for this report. Is the pitch fluctuate on the screen only or do you hear the pitch fluctuation too?

It is audible. If I turn off Vinyl control during playback with MT on, you can hear that the clarity increases. When the pitch is fluctuating, it tends to sound like there is less focus to the music. Immediately when vinyl control is turned off, you can hear a big difference. At least I can, using a fancy soundcard and studio monitors.

The main problem with this is that the vinyl feel is less precise, and it is more difficult to mix. In Absolute mode, it is a breeze and it feels like real vinyl.

Will MT/Key be implemented eventually in Absolute mode?

This would easily solve the problem... Any plans to do this?

I am picky about master tempo and key adjustment, because they almost always sound terrible. To the point that in the past, with all of the other software (and HARDWARE) I've tried, I have never once been satisfied.

The new master tempo and key algorithms REALLY sound great. I'm very excited to use them.

Same (as discussed into another thread) here, MT into absolute mode would be simply awesome - hands up for that :-)

I must say not as tight as in absolute but very good improvement! My waveform is now not jumping all over the place . The master tempo is not though, as good in keeping the tone as I notice the vocals in a song seem to sound more of higher frequency than on my CD player (when I increase the pitch). However I am quite impressed with the improvement.
