Nice site for directX & VST plugin

Just how do I use one of these directX or VST plugins. Lets say I wanted to use an echo. I download a free version from the site and it installs an executable. Is MixVibes suppose to use dlls for the plugins???

The MV pro6 skin has knobs for effects but I never use them, don't know what to use them for....

Yes, put vst dll in vst subfolder in mixvibes folder
DirectX is managed by windows.

If you were to pick a VST that does echo functionality which one should I try from the site....

I just need to see something (one of the effects) work. I can't find any that have or are a dll.
