I think the problem has his cause somewhere else??!

I have no daubt that Mixvibes maybe work correct at polocorps PC (and maybe the other 100 turntablists at the forum  )

But it´s a fact that mygo and me got problems to run Mixvibes in the right way.

There are 3 (in words three) possibilties why mixvibes don´t work correctly at my PC.

1) The Hardware
I Use the newest hardware, a very good soundcard, good needles/turntables...... So that could be not the problem.

2) The User
I used Mixvibes for 4 years now. And hand on the heart: Mixvibes ain´t got so much configurations that you could make something really wrong!?

3) The Software
????
Can´t say nothing bout. Only Thing i know is that i got with 6.411 and v2 records no drift. Since Version 7 it drifts. (to be honest i have not tested final version because right now i´m so happy with my new setup).
btw. it has not only drift in rel. mode.....it has drift also in absolute mode. It was annoying which had me let buy another DV-System.

So, it´s not my job to find out what causes this problem. i can only tell what´s happening.

thanks for pointing it out. We take this feedback very seriously. We'll be improving on the next version.

and just another thing:

here you say......"So indeed you are right there is a better timecode response on 6.28"

I allways thought that the main-aim of a Digital-Vinyl-System is to emulate a true Vinyl-record as good as possible. Why has the timecode rsponse decreased?

Instead of a better timecode response (for what i bought Mixvibes), i now got a sampler which i don´t need and effects that are not really usable.

And please don´t tell me now: Be glad that you still receive updates.
Í would pay a lot of money if everything would work fine. But it don´t......

version 6.28 better for TTblists ?

Postby polocorp on 03 Sep 2008, 10:07

i already answered that Meth. Apparently a filter was added 'to avoid ground issues' in 6.29, this is most probably the cause of the backspin drift in further versions.

Could you please register you're serial number m8 ? So your product apperas alomg your profile.

If don't need any of the new features, maybe you should stick to 6.28 while we take care of fixing the issue ?

Sorry.....No.
Got an "Old Serial Number" with G0xxx-xx-xxxxxxxxxx
Every time i want to register it tells me serial too short.

Don´t get me wrong. I was an loyal Mixvibes user for 4 years. Mixvibes was long time the leader in Digital-Vinyl-Systems. But as long MV got no Mastertempo in absolute Mode and that (maybe only my special) drift problem i will use another DV-System.

Maybe Mixvibes will come back with Cross to get back the crown of DV-Systems.
