That is very strange because once the files are in the collection, Cross don't care from where they came from (iTunes, playlist, explorer).

Try to make a collection with some of those files but don't import them from iTunes, import them directly from explorer/folders.

Sorry just found this post.
I cannot go through all the sub folders that iTunes uses to manage music. That would take years to accomplish
SHE DOES NOT USE THE COLLECTION FUNCTION.
My Partner uses iTunes to play with. Thats the problem, and does not like using the collection as she has multiple playlists she uses.
She cannot use the 'collection playlist' because it does not show enough information (key, bpm, genre - and i 100% agree with her on this matter) .
This is why i HAVE to load from iTunes(SOMETIMES when loading tracks DIRECTLY from iTunes; pre-anaylased OR NOT! even if they are in a 'collection' list also(my partner uses iTunes to play, not the collection, as she is a Mac user, and HATES PC's)

The 'Finder' function is on Mac OSX, Not Xp.
So let me get this correct:
*you want me to load ALL HER TRACKS USING EXPLORER INTO A 'COLLECTION' (INSTEAD OF USING iTunes in any way to create a 'collection' base??)
I can see this working at this time, but what happens every time i have to add tracks to her collection? I have to troll through iTunes folder crap to see where the new tracks have been stored???? or i have to keep making new collections with all her new additional tracks? Thanks for your suggestions.
i dont know if this even will work, so i will report back to you - hopefully it clears up the 'glitches'
Cheers

This is very confusing, you talked me of your friend, a mac and iTunes...

So the issue is on the XP computer !
It Seems loading/playing from the embedded iTunes directly seems to make this happen often - Even if tracks are pre-analyzed, or ALREADY in a collection that is pre-loaded.
Never did this in 1.2.5 version, as this was how i have been using Cross alot previously
*(Pre-loaded and pre-analyzed all tracks from the iTunes library into a 'collection' to store peak/bpm/waveform/track info, as to not stress the CPU during live performance; so as to use embedded iTunes as the playing interface <as the collection tagging system was bug ridden in 1.2.5 > )

What happen if you drag the file directly from Cross explorer or Windows explorer ?

Hey Support - Loaded a new 'collection' directly from her iTunes media folder using both the Internal Cross explorer, and also made a second one using win explorer. ;)
*Pre analysed/loaded these in the background of Cross, and used iTunes to select tracks/load.
*First track dropped on last night at a gig, using iTunes to select it, and it GLITCHED. Around 7-8 tracks later, it did it again. :frown:
*Seems to glitch 3 times in around a 10-15 second period.
*This happened on both the new 'collections' i created and pre-analyzed.
*I did not load/play them from 'Collection', as this is the way she has always used Cross before (Using iTunes as the media manager. As i have said, this did not happen on V1.2.5). I myself use 'Collection' when i play, and i get no 'glitches' AT ALL.
So it seems there is a problem with using iTunes in selecting tracks (even pre-analyzed) in the 1.3+ versions for me. I need to work out this problem ASAP, as we both have lots of gigs coming up in the next few weeks.....
Cheers

After lot of testing on both versions, the 1.3 act the same as 1.2.5 for me.
From the dev side, nothing has been edited in this area of the code.

From my point due to the low spec, you should try some things :
- running in full screen instead of windowed (less gfx card load)
- lowering samplerate from 48 to 44Khz (less cpu load)
These points have changed the behavior of my lowest specs computer (1.6 C2D).

I'm sorry but I can't give you a straigh answer on what is going wrong here...

Thank you for your input/help/suggestions Support..

*i had already lowered the sample rate to 44k when i upgraded to 1.3+ versions, as i could not use 48k anymore - the new Cross seemed to push the computer harder; my cpu usage NEVER used to go above 65% with 125, but with 13+ now it locks up my CPU @ 100% for 7-10 seconds on track loadups, but the sound used to remain stable, but is glitching now using iTunes interface
*i always run full screen, and have partitioned/optimised xp for MV use. Just seems that my PC is not up to spec anymore... :(

Maybe you need to amend the minimum spec for using Cross, because my PC spec is equal to a 2.2 P4,1gig ram, firewire FA66, and it does not operate as it used too previously before these latest upgrades. :(
Cheers

Yeah- Cross is using all the resources, and making it peak out at 100%...
there is nothing else running on that side of the partition of my drive - no internet, nothing.
