Re: Discover DJ software problem

Ok, I understand your points, but I am just afraid that it will not work on the long run and that I can not send it back to the store. I will try to convince the store from which I bought it to extend the warranty period, I think that will work out, they already did it and seem to be tolerant.

So, the update did not work, what could be another step I can take to exclude other problem-causing agents?

I don't know if this is possible, but can you post a 'config report' with your version of Mixvibes? (you can on Cross, DVS and Producer)
Maybe might give us some clues on what is causing a conflict.
The only thing we can help you with is the software if there are any problems, as ION is in charge of controller problems :(
Cheers

It's a conflict driver between the 'audio usb' driver used by the discover DJ and something else in the devices manager.

In a very large number of cases, the conflict is with a Logitech webcam driver, but it's an issue that is user specific.

Unfortunately, there is no universal fix...
It's exactly the same case for every controler that relay on windows generic driver : viewtopic.php?f=268&t=16106

The computer now recognizes the usb and the controller, (ION helped with this) but the program now crashes when an attempt is made to mix music.

I received more time to troubleshoot from the store, so that's good news.

I'll look for a config report. tnx

You need to reset the software by deleting the file :

C:\Documents and Settings\_\Application Data\MixVibes\Cross - Discover DJ\Cross - Discover DJ.settings

Hi, I can not find this folder. Can you be more explicit where to find it?

NOTE: it is a 'hidden' folder- goto 'folder options' in 'control panel', then click 'see hidden folders' option. ;)

This folder isn't available in one of the documents and settings part, also not as a hidden one

There is a Application Data folder in every Windows XP installation.
