So no changes have to be made on the hardware (the interface or decks) ? Just in the software?

Exactly! That is the best feature I discovered when I started using DVS years back. And as far as I am informed Traktor users need multicore cables for it, in Cross/DVS it is just a switch in the software - nice, isn't it? ;)
