I actually had the problem too with the demo. It was driving me nuts! After a good long search on google, I came across this solution.

1. Go to the Control Panel.
2. Choose sounds.
3. Click the sound tab.
4. There should be a list of all the different sounds that window makes in different situations. You want to choose the default beep. In the sounds list, choose none.
5. Click OK.

This will get rid of the windows beep. HOWEVER, no you have to deal with an even more annoying system beep when choosing a track. Don't worry I got a fix for that too. Even though I don't recommend because it does alert you about overheating and such. But if you take good care of your laptop then you shouldn't have any hesitation doing this.

1. Go to the Control Panel
2. Device manager
3. Click view, then show hidden devices.
4. Scroll down till you hear non-plug and play drivers, then expand it.
5.Right click Beep and choose properties.
6. Click the driver tab
7. In the Startup type option, choose disabled.
8. Click OK.

That should do it. It doesn't treat the underlying cause of the problem, but it will stop the symptom for now until it is resolved. This certainly worked for me. I hope it works for you guys as well. And in the end, become less annoyed.

Cheers

....

in mixvibes you have got to set the output for each deck
on mixvibes skin ... each deck has a little box with a number 1

you should have output 1 for deck A and output 2 for deck B

Thanks Psykadelik! But it didn't work for me. I'll have to try something else. Any other suggestions? I'm about ready to delete this program and find and go with something different! I don't understand why I didn't have this problem for the first 6 months. Then all of a sudden it started and I can't make it stop. When you pay good money for a program, you shouldn't have these problems!!

Sorry about the inconvenience, however if the program ran fine for six months and is only now giving you a hard time its probably that the issue comes from a modification you made in your windows or audio settings.

Have you tried hitting the 'reset.exe' proram that is in your mixvibes installatio folder. you can also try completely erasing/reinstalling the software...

Reset did not fix it so I reinstalled it. Now when I try to run the program it says I have "0 days left for activation"! I click on internet activation, it says " software has been successfully activated" , but still won't run! Tried to manually activate and I need an activation code! THIS IS TOTAL B.S.!!!! How do I get an activation code?

When I was using the MV 7demo for a month, I was doing some tweaking to Vista to get it run as best as it can. When I got the right settings It the beep didn't occur. When I did some further tweaking and updating, I believe I got the beep that you described. I had that anoying windows ding when I was choosing a file from the Playlist section. I too thought it was because of the program, but I then I had that beep when I was using one of the Help section of one of my other programs. I still have the demo installed right now. I'm gonna take it off entirely and see if it gets resolved.
