U46MKII and vista don't work (asio???)

Hi,, im having serious issues trying to get the U46MKII to work also with Vista. I did exactly what you said and only installed the ASIO4ALL v 2.8 Beta 2

Initially it works, along with the MKII drivers if I use them which I dont now. After I reboot my laptop tho it stops working.

When I play the Vinyl I can hear the whistle sound as its actually playing hte timecode vinyl, a very annoying sound. I ASIO4ALL is detecting a USB Audio device and its enabled. Configured properly in Mixvibes also. Can someone pls help.

to get rid of the annoying whistle, use the install Wizard ine the File menu.

The install wizard helps you reconfigure mixvibes ins/outs + calibrate the vinyl in a few clicks. Normally your settings should be saved upon the next load of Mixvibes if you save before quitting. Otherwize, just launch the install Wizard and reconfigure in less than a minute.

Ok got it working, but do I have to do this everytime I reboot the PC ?

I'm not an ASIO4ALL user. i'm not sure if you will have to do it at every reboot.

basically if it works in multiple reboots of the software it will also work with multiple reboots of the PC. The same problem existed with ESI 1.0.16 with Win XP. It's a bit of a drag but the driver performed great

Hi ,

I think if you hear the vinyl timecode with ASIO4ALL , it's because you select an Output as monitor in the MV options.

Go to Options > Sound > ASIO > Setup and configure the monitor like this :




else if needed , check the ASIO4ALL settings , they must be like this :

Nope still the same,, checked 3 for monitor rebooted and still makes the squelling noise until i start the install wizard again. On the second step of the wizard where it says "Enable mixvibes to change u46 settings" click next and it goes away. Ahh well guess jus gotta live with it

Well you may have 2 other choices to test.
The last driver made for U46MK2 1.28 download new-u46mk2-driver-t8480.html
The last driver made for U46DJ 1.29 U46DJ download new-drivers-esi-u46dj-version-t8612.html
Just test them, they are supposed to be advanced Asio drivers...

U46DJ & U46MK2 are compatible.

Uncle is right. however always remember to uninstall a driver before testing another one. Make sure you kee a higher latency with these drivers as they are genuinely faster. (they repalce the windows audio layer)

in other words they can deliver better performances but can be more sensitive, both drivers have been freshly delivered and are still in betatest. Please give us your feedback after having tested for a couple of days

Tried both of these drivers and I am having the same issues. I uninstalled the old drivers, rebooted then installed new U4DJ drirvers.

The panel was visible and I was able to configure and mute out the monitor so no squeelling sound.

Works fine,

As soon as i reboot the machine, I open the audio panel and it says Disabled and I canot configure it anymore

Anyone ???

hi john, did you tick in the U46 setting box in the [Options > Sound] menu ?
