Development MixVibesPro Stopped?! I have Mixdeck!!!

Hi Christian,

I've contacted Numark and they told me that Mixdeck is partially analog. Still: the most important faders and button can be midi-mapped. The most important question for me at this moment: how can I prelisten the musictracks with the right mouseclick in the mediabase windowmenu.

And! I've posted a message about the fact that the further development of Mixvibes Pro ends. This means no evoluation of this programmline and my MiViPro will get outdated. Mixvibes offers no solution for this problem eg offer the possibility to switch to an another MV product such as Cross. This message has been locked (banned?). It seems that MV don't like critical questions. Once more again: I use for 10 years MV pro since version 4 and updated it every time until the latest version 7. This has cost me in total more then 400 euro.

Willy, it was me that closed your other thread regarding this issue, as all the information can be handled in one thread.

Although you can't set all your Mixdeck with MixVibes, MixVibes does offer you a solution, I admit it's limited, but it's there.

I only know how you can select a file in the mediabase via MIDI and to load it in one of the two players. My DVS has no option to hear the song in a preview window. When you mean that you can load a track to a special deck it is the commands:

SELECT which you can select a media in a view. Value 1 is to increase, decrease the selected, value 2 from which view (0 current, 1 mediabase, 2 explorer, 3 playlist).
When you now want to load the track there is the LOAD Function there is value 2 also the where option. It is the same like at the select (0 current, 1 media and so on).
When you want to activate a special player to monitor there is still also a command:
With the MONITOR function you can activate the current selected player to play the sound to the monitor channel. With the ACTIVE command you can switch between the decks. You can also map the MONITOR to two different buttons and set this to player 1 and 2. If you want to use one you must use the ACTIVE function too.

In MV pro, one can rightclick into the mediabase window. The dissadvance of loading music into a plaver (and use the monitor option) is that the selected number turns gray, which (in this case falsely) indicates the a number already has been played.

MixVibes does offer you a solution as far as the MIDI is concerned, and that's to map the controller yourself with the options you have within your software. That is all I'm saying

It is all down to you whether you decide to give it a go or not.

Hmm there I don't know if they have add a MIDI command for that. I only know and have the documentation for selecting a track and loading it to a special deck.

Maybee there is a command for that but this command I doesn't know. If you have a old controllermapping where you have the ability to aktivate this you can post it hier and I look at this file.

So only way I know is to load the track in a player. My DVS 7 has no other pre hearing option.

So if you have a old file or some information about the DVS pro MIDI commands which are only for pro I can say which command and how you write it but now I have only the option I wrote above.

This right-click pre-listening option has worked with the Hercules MK1 controller which I have used before.

Hey,

hmm the only command which I found in the file for my DVS 7 was ACTIVEVIEW. I have no information about it but it was in the section where the SELECT function is mapped so it could be the monitoring function in DVS pro.

I would test this command.
