Upgrading to Cross DJ will give you access to more features and regular updates.
EDIT : actual version is 1.5

but will it work on my computer with the system I have? What is the cost to upgrade?

If I buy the Cross DJ, Do I need to unistall what I have and since it comes with no disk what happens if I need to reinstall again?

It will be installed in a separate folder and if you put your serial into your profile you can download the versions as long as you wish.
