Does the clone feature work in conjunction with the V2B track select feature?

That is - if I hold down control while loading a track into a player using the track select track on the V2B vinyl, will it be loaded into the player and play from the same point as the track is curently at on the other player?

if you do it that way there would ne no need to hold down the shift key, and i would depend on your vinyl mode too.

you would need to use relitive mode with no needle drop, else the track would just jump to the position of the timecode.

yes, im sure... if you load the same track in more than one player it will clone the settings anyways.

so Ctrl + mouse drag is the same as dragging the same track from the media base into each player.

Did you check DVS 7 for auto cue point saving and does it work? I have not been able to get the cue points to save and load when I use the song next time.

I don't think it would, as it doesn't take the song from the other player (if that makes sense). The CLONE command has been added in MIDI, and I've got it set up in my little app if you're bored and looking for a little experiment.

to clone player 1 into player 2
[KEY] CLONE player 1 val1 1 val2 2 NOUP NOCHANGE
to clone player 2 into player 1
[KEY] CLONE player 2 val1 1 val2 1 NOUP NOCHANGE

this shouldt work.
You also have to deactivate "keyboard quicksearch" in your options.
if not you couldtnt use a-z and 0-9 keys for commands (but f1-f9 work)


By the way:
is there a way to clone the track from the active player to the non active one? this wouldt save one key while using only 2 decks

Thanks for answering doesn't work with me ...
When shooting a party, I sometimes use just one deck, all I am interested in is to clone player1 ( I'm using for mixing and scratching ) to player2.

couldt u please paste and copy your keyboard layout file. its in the keyboard folder of mixvibes. you can open the *.vkb file with a text editor.
