Re: DVS 7 Question

Postby gakto2009 on 20 Jan 2009, 02:48

at the moment I'm leaning on the Cross to start can I if in time I decide on Producer? Can I upgrade as well?

There is no upgrade price from Cross to Producer, they are independent software’s so you would have to buy a full copy of Producer.

btw in DVS is it possible too use 1 CDJ-400 an switch players? is it easy? lol explain in how?

CDJ-400 with Cross,

The cdj has 3 options, Player A, Focus and Player B. Player A mode will control virtual player A only. Focus mode will control the active player. Player B mode will control virtual player B only.

CDJ-400 with Mixvibes 7 (DVS & Producer),

To control Mixvibes 7 with the cdj you have to download the appropriate MIDI files, [Pioneer CDJ-400] [Focus] MixVibes 7, [Pioneer CDJ-400] [Player 1] MixVibes 7, [Pioneer CDJ-400] [Player 2] MixVibes 7. These files are available from the download section of the forum (HERE).

After you have downloaded the files you need to install them by unpacking them to “c:\Program Files\Mixvibes(your version)\MIDI”.

The MIDI files will automatically show in the MIDI configuration section of Mixvibes preferences,

For DVS 7 & PODUCER use the “[Pioneer CDJ-400] [Focus] MixVibes 7” MIDI file, this enables the cdj to control the active player.

If you have two cdj’s and Producer use the “[Pioneer CDJ-400] [Player 1] MixVibes 7 & [Pioneer CDJ-400] [Player 2]” MIDI files, this enables control of either corresponding player.

Sorry btw for thread jacking..

Thats cool, this information is all relative to the original subject.

Regards,
Bryan

Thanks again for your well informed response trust me people i'm learning each day I stop by here.

so now I face with a new problem.

I originally started with getting the DVS and maybe move up on the Producer program after I get myself adjusted an more interested in the 2TT's/2CDJ's setup. But then I came across Cross and I really like the independent Players & Master recording that's a great idea actually find this feature much better then DVS Master Rec only.

Then on Cross again the GUI and the simplistic features intrigued me I feel I may enjoy the interface much better as appose on DVS. Man this is tough too choose... lol thanks for bringing my att: on Cross shaking fist!!! both looks like a well and capable programs I have sum thinking too do.
