U-mix44 sound is loud and saturated

Postby captainweedo on 21 Jan 2010, 17:55

Hi,

I'm experiencing troubles with my U-Mix44 and DVS7.21 when I play my mp3's with Vinyl control the sound is saturated(distorted) and way too loud on basses + I ear a really disturbing noise the TC from the vinyl with parasites. I checked the same song on media player and the sound was clean no extra loudness no saturation at all.
When I use my DVS all the sounds I play are heavy and distorted... Is there any settings I can use to make it sound normal?

Here is my config report.

Thanks for the quick answer.

This faq sorts out my distortion problem but now I can't get rid of a very annoying and disturbing background noise. Even when DVS isnt playing a track if I put up my fader on mixer I will ear this awful noise "beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeepppp" that is there only when DVS software is working (if I close the software noise is gone). I tried on 2 diferent systems and headphones the problem is with the U-Mix or software. More likely software.

I dont think this is normal. My master volume/gain/amp volume arent maxed. I tried to bring all of them down the noise is barely audible at lower than 10% but I can't ear the music either at that point.

By manually calibrating all the gains and volumes hardware/software I could barely bring that noise down a little but it's still there. I mean a little background noise doesnt hurt but this is really awful noise ! please help

You must mute the inputs in the monitoring section of your sound card. You missed this part.
