Headphones with Discover DJ USB turntables

Postby Octaz on 31 Dec 2009, 15:15

Ok, so I just bought Discover DJ and I`m having a hell of a hard time to get my headphones to work on a second deck, like any DJ would need.

This is my rig:

Intel® Core™ i5 750 Quad Core Processor (2.66GHz, 8MB Cache) - LGA1156
Windows 7 Home Premium Edition - 64bit English
ASUS P7P55D LE Mainboard - Intel Core™ i5 / i7 - LGA 1156 / ATX
4GB 1333MHz Dual Channel DDR3 SDRAM - (2x2GB)
1TB Serial ATA 2 Hard Drive with 32MB Buffer
1GB ATI Radeon 5770 Graphics Accelerator GDDR5- ***DirectX 11***
7.1 High Definition onboard sound card

So I`ve been trying for hours to get this thing sorted, I have installed ASIO4ALL but then tried to install U46MK2 and it gets up to the part where you need to reconnect the device, but when I reconnect and press next, nothing happens it just throws me back onto the "Reconnect your device" page.

I`m just begging anyone with this kinda issue to help me, Im just quite upset that I bought these and they don`t have a headphone jack on them anyways!?

PLEASE HELP ME =D

RESOLEVED

Solution:

I have ASIO4ALL installed without the U46MK2 and under the Mixvibes preferences > Audio my setup is dueal stereo, ASIO4ALL on the drop down box output1 is HD AUDIO REAR OUTPUT 1(2)/ HD AUDIO REAR OUTPUT 2 (2). Out put2 is HD AUDIO REAR OUTPUT 3/ HD AUDIO REAR OUTPUT 4

I went into the program that controls my setup for my 7.1 soundcard, and set it to 4 speaker mode, my PC speakers went into the green normal speaker socket, and my headphones are in the black socket. I played around and made my headphones as the rear speakers in the setup. Then went into Mix vibes Cross and set it to the preferences above.

Please do not delete this thread because it took me 4 hours or so to find this solution and I`m sure there is plenty other people with the same problem.

Thanks community, hope this helps

Yea, I found the thread of that guy, but he didnt fully explain how HE resolved the issue. I wanted to clarify everything very clearly because he wrote like a sentance, I read his whole thread and overlooked his one line that explained how he solved it. :)

But yea, I just needed to explain how I solved it, as I think there will be ALOT of people buying discover DJ and having this problem, and I`m actually very computer literate, I`d hate to see someone less knowing attempt to solve the issue with no clear topic that shows how to fix it =D

Hope this helps everyone =D
