Hello all,how life treating y'all. I just want to share with you guys the problem I'm experiencing with my mixvibes set-up. Recently I discovered that when I'm making use of mixvibes DVS 7,it just freezes up!...not crashing to he desktop mind you. That is the media just hangs,no sound nada,and no waveform movement. At this time I can load another file into a deck but the file wont play. So I usually shut down the problem,refresh my notebook and re-launch the programme...then eveything is honky dory again. So I've been trying to trace the fault to determine if it is my software causing it or an external source. So I disconnected the u46 mk ii souncard and used mixvibes with the internal speakers of my notebook...needless to say the problem stopped. I plugged in my u46 and it started all over again...well what can I do...so I had to import Traktor Skratch pro which I am presently using due to the souncard problem...with traktor's audio 8 souncard,mixvibes performed well. On further investigation I discovered that when ever there is the slightest electrical or current issue especially this: Whenever I'm trying to plug in something else to the extension that my notebook adaptor is plugged onto,mixvibes immediately freezes up!...when I'm rying to unplug something, the same thing happens. This is not so with the audio 8 soundcard.
Please I need any help you guys can render me to solve this problem as I I'm not comfortable AT ALL with traktor skratch pro...the performance difference in relation to mixvibes personally for me is too great...mixvibes to me is way ahead of it...infact I don't need another DVS solution and I've used many...torque,virtual DJ,pcdj,and now traktor. What can I do people. I considered getting another u46mk ii (it's not like I can afford all this importing it's really draining me financially...the trator skratch pro bundle set me back almost 200,000 naira,my local currency,with that amount of money I can get a fairly used car!), but I'm afaraid the scenerio would repeat itself. I use a HP Pavillion dv6000,OS Vista. Thanks.
