Routing audio from other media apps through U46 Mk2

Postby B.W. Bear on 28 Jul 2009, 01:10

Hello all,

I've finally got round to setting up my DVS pack (and what a fun day it's been since :D). There's quite a few niggles and problems that I need to set about fixing and tweaking but for now, I'd just like to know how to route music from, say Foobar or Media Player, through one of my U46 outputs so that I can send it through the 3rd channel on my mixer and into my amp.

I'm sure it's very straight forward if you know how!

Cheers,

Chris

i think i have the same problem, but that link didnt help me. i want to route my (analog) tuntables, directly through the U46MK2 soundcard/interface into ablteton (mix, eq, and pre-listen it in there) and then send it out of ableton into the main speakers.

i have installed the latest drivers, but now, when i drop the needle it automatically starts playing, and ableton does have no influence on the volume levels. i realised that i can change volume levels within the "panel boad" but that kinda sucks, because i want total control in ableton (i.e. routing the in/outputs, volume control etc). i want ableton the be the "master" and the U46MK2 panel board to be the "slave" like basically any previously soundcard worked for me.

is there any way or am i doing anything wrong here? would be boss if anyone could help me, thanks in advance!

Hi Laus,

Wiring MixVibes into Ableton is a much different process. I use this method from DJ Tech Tools. Credits go to BentoSan!
