Hi All,
First post so be gentle
I've just reinstalled windows and am now having trouble with mixvibes.
I'm using vinyl turntables and the U46MK2
It's been a while but I swear I used to be able to do this:
Set MV to use just 1 of my turntables (vinyl) and play real vinyl on the other. This is working fine for output but when I go to record I get this message (never seen it before):
"Cannot use sound driver for recording"
Turntable 1 is attached to IN-1+2 on the U46MK2
Turntable 2 is attached to the mixer directly
Mixer record/monitor output is attached to IN-3+4 on the U46MK2
MV Deck 1 has an mp3 loaded
MV Deck 2 has the IN-3+4 loaded
The plan is to press record on MV Deck 2 and record it to wav but I get the above error when I hit the record button and choose the save location. It throws the error regardless of which record button I hit or whether or not I have a track loaded.
'Vinyl' is not highlighted on deck 2 (makes no difference if it is though) and when I hit the play button on deck 2 nothing happens (doesn't highlight). I can see the led display for deck 2 moving so MV can 'hear' the output from the mixer I just can't work out why it's throwing the error.
Any ideas?
Cheers in advance.
