[SOLVED]Problems with latency FA66 Front input (1 & 2)

I am having bad latency with the front input as far as i can tell on my FA66. I have only noticed it since i updated to the latest version of Mixvibes, especially near the start of the record BUT i dont think its the upgrade. To trouble shoot, i have changed records over, decks, cables, and it just seems to be something with the input as far as i can tell...the rear input(3&4) work fine with both decks,records and needles so im sure it has something to do with the front panel inputs......
The FA 66 soundcard works fine for all other things/ instruments i input into the front panel ( i use it for home studio sometimes), so im totally confused.
I have been using mixvibes for 4-5 years no with no real problems, but this is driving me bananas!!!
Could it be buffer settings or something else i dont know about ?
Could it be a problem with the FA 66???
*Note* it does also show a low time code % (around 60 sometimes) just at the very start of a control vinyl)

THE PROBLEM WAS :
FOR SOME REASON OR ANOTHER, THE MASTER TEMPO BUTTON HAD ENGAGED. THANKS

(I use firewire card/ pcmia port )
Mixvibes is also on a partitioned section of my 120 gig HD
(Nothing else is installed on that partition, just basic drivers)
