Help! Problem with registering a second hand DVS 2

Hi..

I bought a used Mixvibes DVS 2 from another member of this forum (viewtopic.php?f=259&t=12495) but I'm having problem with registering the serial no. in my profile set up as the no. has been used by the previous owner.

and

I'm having problem getting rid of the high pitch noise, followed the manual instructions but both Intall Wizard nor mute - sound interface worked.

My set up:
HP Laptop (Intel 1.73, 2GB Ram), ESI Maya 44, 2x Technics turntables, Pioneer DJM 300 mixer.
