When I shut down the u46, windows crashs.

Hello.. Its seems that is imposible to not having problems with this software... I installed the driver update downloaded from here and now sometimes when i shut down the soundcard (with mixvibes closed) windows show me a blue screen and reboot...

Some ideas¿?

What version of windows are you running?

we need info to be able to help you, ie, build, service pack etc.

Windows xp sp2. Works very good, i never had problems with it... until i updated the driver.

I have seen this problem before with other usb hardware; it was caused by the driver dedicated to the usb host controller within windows. When disconnecting the device from the systems usb root hub the driver crashed and shut down the computer to prevent damage to the operating system.

I would suggest visiting the manufacturers website for your laptop or systems motherboard and checking for updated drivers for your onboard usb, then following the reinstall procedure for the U46mk2 audio device.

Im using a dell laptop inspiron 1420 and there's no updates :S...

Try downloading the available driver from the manufacturers website and installing it, then reinstalling the u46mk2 driver, your driver my just be corrupt in some way.
