Hi! I'm thinking about buying a new Notebook and a lot of DJ's told me that a Mac is the best choice for DJ Programms.I know that Mixvibes DVS is not compatible with Mac OS but i thought about using Bootcamp or Fusion to use Windows on the Mac. But is this really the better choice then a good Windows Notebook for the same price as the Mac Book? I also thought about Sony Vaio or Dell XPS. This time i'm working with Windows Vista on an Medion Notebook with 1,6 Ghz Amd Turion and 2 gb Ram and in very ard use there are sometimes very few latencys or double kicks working with Master Tempo. Have you got any experiences or tips for me. sincerly Tim de Ville
i guess its all down to what you want and would make the most out of, if you dont use a mac or any mac software then really you would only end up using it for mixvibes... where as a good spec windows laptop would run mixvibes and other stuff you like to use...
i use a Sony Vaio VGN-TX2HP, 1.1ghz Intel Centrino P4 with 2gig of RAM... it was very expencive but its doin the job, easy to store and cary about with me and most of all, never had a problem with it.
have a look about at different spec laptops and decide what you would make the most of.
and on mac, Mixvibes Cross with vinyl control is coming . if i were you ( and if i had the money because a mac is pretty expensive) i will wait few week, buy a mac and Cross vinyl, and enjoy... (i'm beta tester and i can say you Cross vinyl is )

That's amazing! I know the old thinkpads (IBM) wich were very good but never heard about experinces with the new ones. Any explicit tip you can give me about a think pad model? By the way... think pads are also very expensive if im right?! To the Asus.... Do you really think this is a good choice for DVS 7 or only a good choice comparing the price? Because these small PC's are even "slower" then the one I got now... (maybe only on paper).
@ jiel if you got more informations about the 1000 h and if you think that its equal to an greater PC i would be thankful if you post your impressions of its testing. de ville
