in fact sir, I have.

I've spent the past 4 hours digging through this giant chunk of worthless to no avail....after signing up I was at least able to filter out the worthless from the completely worthless using the search feature(as I'm not an idiot and thought to use the search feature immediately....just didn't want to sign up unless need be....when I did, I asked for help, and you responded that I should register my software to protect it in case I lose the disk, and check with ION instead, as you can't offer help.

Since I entered the registration key, I have downloaded this update(which I have already been warned, through reading this forum, is likely to cause constant software crashes) but my computor doesn't understand what to do with the DMG file given, and there are no further instructions.

The faq section section you endorse only answers questions I might have on how to opperate the forum, not the software or hardware.

so yet again, we are at the stalemate. WHY am I having these problems? WHY is it like pulling teeth trying to get a question answered? if my question has been answered before, please, feel free to link me to it...after all, your the one who is working for the company....shouldn't you be working towards my satisfaction with the product, instead of making round about suggestions ensuring my time that COULD be utilized on your product is instead searching forums for hours just trying to get it to work together with it's respective hardware as the box suggests.

I'm very sorry if I'm coming off as short-fused, and snappy....I am thuroughly frustrated, and SICK of sifting and not getting results.

The DMG is for Apple machines, if so you should know how to use it. If you are using a windows machine you should download the right version! There are two: Mac and PC, choose the right one, expand and install it.

WRONG! I am not mixvibes employe, just a user who is trying to help, although you do not feel so. If I would not have replied you were still be waiting till in eight to 12 hours, when the offices opens up again! Thanks for honoring this!

It is alway the same procedure: the software works, the hardware does not. Mixvibes is blamed although the error is at the hardware side. Blame me if you like, this won't make it better! I hope that you are able to download and install the update and that it will work then, crossing fingers.

Cheers,

Steve

I should say that one simple misuse of personal pronouns can be very deceiving...if your not an employee, you should refrain from using the word we....this implies that you speak on behalf of the company. I do thank you for what help you have offered, and once again say I'm sorry for being testy in the situation. I have NEVER had this much problems getting any of my other technologies to work.....and they weren't even designed for each other.

I do thank you VERY much for informing me that I had downloaded the wrong file...it was of great service. I had read a thread stating that I needed to enter my regestration code in order to recieve the updates just before you had posted your first response, and had in fact done so AS you were posting. I hadn't however, read anywhere that I may have gotten the wrong update, including in your instructions for obtaining the update....which is something that could be very easily overlooked(you'll just have to trust that I'm not your average idiot, and my mistake was a complete fluke), and in the future might be noted when giving such instructions.

The .exe update DID work, and I appologize greatly for my attitude in the matter. I've had a rather trying day, and that is not your fault. I should not have taken it out on you even if you were an employee. Frustration does terrible things to ones manors.

Speaking about "we" or "us" I mean the forum users/all mixvibers ;) Once again I have added a "small red punchline" to my signature stating who I am, I hope this will prevent "us" from reactions like that.

Does it work now?

T-Rav wrote:While I understand that you are the software company, and ION is the hardware company...I also feel if you are working close enough with them to have a special software bundle, then you SHOULD have some knowledgability on the subject. I don't know exactly how much you care about your company, but right now I'm seeing BOTH Mix Vibes, and ION as lacking in tact, and support.

It doesn't work like that. They asked for a software, we sold it to them after validation from their side. The bundle is a Ion bundle, so it is the responsibility of Ion (by contract).
I can help you with setup, but things not working together is not from our side because it is working for us, and they have tested, validated that point.
So the weak point is not where your think it is. Get your facts straight.

I work in a performance art troupe...I don't personally make any of the props we use, but some of the other members do, and offer them for sale. If someone were to ask me questions about the products members of my team makes, I have the answers...because it's professional to have an understanding of the company you keep in bussiness. I can't really answer questions about products that I don't have affiliations with....but since they often vend at shows we perform at, I am affiliated, and keep myself up to date in knowledge on thier products.

I have an answer : the hardware you have is certainly not the same as the one validated with the software.

The fact that I've been browsing all evening trying to find some kind of solution to this issue, and had to sign up to yet another forum just to get no help is a little rediculous. Furthermore, if this is such a common occurance, I would be seriously considering the quality of product in which my software is being bundled with. If you software is bundled with a sub-par product, what does that make your poduct look like?

No it is the reverse side : hardware manufacturers are looking for software editors.

I've been using YOUR product for a while now, and it has ALOT to be desired...if it could properly recognise the controller, it would be tolorable in it's drawbacks, but if I'm using my mouse and keyboard, I'll stick with Traktor, thank you.

No you've being using a Ion product since the beginning, with a ion software made by MixVibes to the specs of Ion, validated and accepted by Ion.

When you have an issue with a car, you don't go to the motor builder, you go to the car reseller.
So adress your issue to Ion and if they have something to ask or tell us, they will. But for now they seems satisfied with what they have.

As already said : Ion product = Ion support.

Since I entered the registration key, I have downloaded this update(which I have already been warned, through reading this forum, is likely to cause constant software crashes) but my computor doesn't understand what to do with the DMG file given, and there are no further instructions.

DMG are for Mac, so if you're on a PC take the other one.

The faq section section you endorse only answers questions I might have on how to opperate the forum, not the software or hardware.

Because they're supposed to be plug & play. So if they doens't, you have issue. So apply support with Ion.

so yet again, we are at the stalemate. WHY am I having these problems?

Why some of you and not others ?
Why some have successfully fix their issue here and not you ?
Why don't you want to see with Ion ?

WHY is it like pulling teeth trying to get a question answered? if my question has been answered before, please, feel free to link me to it...after all, your the one who is working for the company....shouldn't you be working towards my satisfaction with the product, instead of making round about suggestions ensuring my time that COULD be utilized on your product is instead searching forums for hours just trying to get it to work together with it's respective hardware as the box suggests.

Not our product, ion product.
A link like this one ?

I'm very sorry if I'm coming off as short-fused, and snappy....I am thuroughly frustrated, and SICK of sifting and not getting results.

I totally understand that and can deal with it (doing it on a daily basis since years).
