Cross for mac with u46mkII

Postby dfguitar on 14 Mar 2011, 21:33

I connected my mkII with the usb, and Cross (along with every other audio program) recognizes it, but I can't activate any of the connections "by clicking on them" as the manual says. I have a turntable with the control vinyl plugged into inputs 1/2 and grounded, and outputs 1/2 to my mixer I can't get audio in or out of the program, but the mkII sends the control track of the vinyl through to the mixer.

Hello,

please click on the button in the middle between the two waveforms above the VU meter.

Could you make this clearer ?
Do you see the inputs and outputs of the soundcard into the audio panel ?

I actually got the program to accept the input signal and the audio to come out of the u46. All it took was restarting the computer, although I still can't click the connections in preferences to make them turn from red to green as the manual says to do. My problem now is that although I have a quality of 90 to 100% showing, I can't calibrate the record as it says that I do not have a playing speed of 1. I have tried it on multiple turntables which have very stable playing speeds, and they are set to 0.

This doesn't exist anymore since 1.2 version.

Do you use Mixvibes vinyls ?

Yes, I am using the mixvibes vinyls. They are controlling the audio but not calibrating. I just got some technics 1200's and I'm having them serviced this week. hopefully they will be stable enough to use? Does mixvibes simply require a very stable turntable to calibrate?

Technics 1200 are the best you can grab if you are asking me! It should work with it without any problems. Please test it again if you get them back and report what is happening - thanks!

My guess is that your audio configuration is wrong
Phono on the U46 should be Line on the Cross inputs
Line on the U46 should be Phono on the Cross inputs
