MiViPro stops, no MIDI support, switch to Tractor?

Postby joostenw on 22 Feb 2011, 18:31

MixVibesPro stops its development after 7.4 release. I've just bought the Numark Mixdeck and there will be not a MIDI map available for this controller.

I've tried to set up my own MIDI map, but it's to complex and a lot of buttons or sliders doesn't react in the learning mode and also not in the MIDI map edit mode (they dont generate a MIDI note).

I've spent a lot of money on updates MV version 4 until version 7, and in time my 7 version will get outdated.

So, for me the moment has come to switch to Tractor. I'm very sorry but they have a fully working MIDI map with Mixdeck.

Question: is it possible to export the mediabase to a format which is compatible with the Tractor format?

Are you asking MixVibes to map all the MIDI controllers in the market to please all the users ?
Can you understand that's not realistic?

Traktor has mapped the Mixdeck cause there's a deal with Numark (I think you bought both bundled).
But there are loads of MIDI controllers not natively mapped in Traktor!

Remember the soft you already own allows you to map you controller as you want! Search the forum, ask for help, you're note the only one wanting to map a "new" controller in MixVibes... but you can't blame MixVibes!

Cheers,
